1. Knight-Hennessy Scholars 2027 – Stanford University 🇺🇸

Deadline: 6 October 2026

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program supports students pursuing eligible full-time graduate degrees at Stanford University. Scholars can receive funding for tuition and associated fees, living and academic expenses, and an annual travel stipend, with support for up to three years depending on the degree. Applicants must also apply separately to an eligible Stanford graduate programme.

2. SQA Undergraduate Research Scholarship – Macquarie University 🇦🇺

Deadline: 8 October 2026

This opportunity provides international and domestic undergraduate students with research experience in quantum technology. Selected students receive an AUD 3,333 one-off payment and undertake a six-week research project with a partner university.

3. Hansen Scholarship in History – University of Melbourne 🇦🇺

Deadline: 15 October 2026

The Hansen Scholarship supports a full-time PhD in History. The award includes a full tuition fee offset, a stipend at the Australian Government RTP rate, research funding, relocation support and OSHC for eligible international students.

4. University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships 🇦🇺

Next 2027 intake round: 5 October 2026

The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships Scheme offers up to AUD 60,000 to eligible international students commencing eligible coursework degrees at the University of Sydney. Eligible students with an unconditional admission offer are automatically considered; no separate scholarship application is required.

5. University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship 🇳🇿

Important date: 21 October 2026

This scholarship supports new international students beginning eligible master’s study at the University of Auckland. The award provides 25% of first-year tuition fees. Eligible students must hold a valid offer by 20 October 2026 and will receive an invitation to apply on 21 October.

6. University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships 🇦🇺

2027 applications: key course deadlines include 31 October 2026

The University of Melbourne offers graduate research scholarships to international and domestic students pursuing research master’s and PhD degrees. Scholarships can include 100% tuition fee remission and a living allowance, with international students also eligible for certain benefits such as OSHC.

7. MBZUAI Graduate Scholarships – Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence 🇦🇪

Deadline: 15 December 2026

MBZUAI offers graduate programmes in artificial intelligence and related fields. For funded master’s and PhD students, benefits can include tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, annual return airfare, health insurance and UAE visa support, subject to the programme and funding conditions. The current graduate admissions cycle closes on 15 December 2026 for most programmes.

8. Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters 🇪🇺

Typical application period: October 2026 – January 2027

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are international master’s programmes delivered by consortia of universities across multiple countries. Full scholarships are available for selected students, with funding that can contribute toward participation costs, travel, visa expenses and living costs. Deadlines vary by individual master’s programme, so applicants should check the specific programme website.

9. Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship – Hungary 🇭🇺

Annual deadline: January

The Stipendium Hungaricum programme offers opportunities for Bachelor’s, Master’s, one-tier Master’s and doctoral studies in Hungary. The scholarship programme covers a wide range of study fields and applicants apply through the official Stipendium Hungaricum application system. This scholarship is specifically for Chinese citizens enrolling in a PhD at the University of Melbourne. It provides full tuition fee remission and supplementary living support, with additional funding from the China Scholarship Council.
